Week 9 · DEN vs CAR
What should DEN learn about Evan Engram before the 2026 contract window closes?
Evan Engram · 2026 cap hit $14,136,666 · signed through 2026.
Over The Cap · 2026-09-20. Contract term · 2026-09-20. Current club membership checked against the roster.
2026 baseline: Receiving yards 136 in 7 games · nflverse player statistics 2026. This is counting production, not an efficiency or player-quality grade.
Why now: This is the largest joined cap commitment among current roster members whose recorded term ends this season. Early-season usage and availability can inform the next contract decision; an expiring term alone is not a recommendation to replace him.
Watch next: 2026-11-08 · DEN at CAR · official availability, playing time and assignments. Separate changes in opportunity from changes in efficiency.
House question based on sourced facts. 22 roster amounts remain unresolved; this is a known subset, not a complete valuation. A cap hit is accounting cost, not a cut saving.
